Daphne Fayman, 99, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Clarkson, Nebraska, died Friday, August 4, 2023, at her home in Omaha.
The funeral service will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 9, at New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson with Rev. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. Interment will be in Clarkson National Cemetery.
Daphne was born on November 27, 1923, at her parent’s farm northwest of Clarkson, Nebraska. Daphne attended grade school at the Macedonia rural school and graduated from Clarkson High School in 1941. Daphne was united in marriage to Arthur Fayman on December 21, 1943, when he came home from the service on furlough. When he returned to Europe to complete his service, Daphne lived with her parents on the farm. When he returned, they purchased their first home in Clarkson where they raised their family.
Left behind to cherish Daphne’s memory are three of her children, Paul (Debbie) Fayman, Susan (Joel) Kabala and Pati (Greg) Quirk; grandchildren Anna (Michael) Parker, Andrew Quirk, Michelle (Mat) Bliemeister, Elizabeth (Nick) Slonecker, Aaron Quirk, Alexander (Natalie) Fayman, Katelynn Fayman, Alison (Michael) DeTemple, Paul Fayman, Jr., Hannah (Josh) Thomas, and Camille Kabala; and great-grandchildren Braylen, Kinley and Iyla Bliemeister; Finn, Tesla and Foster Slonecker; and Harlan and Elsie Fayman.
Daphne was preceded in death by her husband, Arhur Fayman; sons Arhur David Fayman and Michael Fayman; parents Frank and Mamie Cimfel, brother Frank Cimfel, and sisters Hilda Bukacek and Helen Cimfel.
