Lincoln Man Arrested for Driving 106 mph Shortly After Being Sentenced for Similar Offense

(Stanton County, Neb.) - A Lancaster County man found himself incarcerated on Tuesday shortly after receiving fines in Stanton County Court for separate driving infractions.

According to Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger, around 11 a.m., a motorcycle was spotted by the Stanton County Sheriff's Office traveling west on U.S. 275 at a speed of 106 mph in a 70-mph zone east of Norfolk.

The motorcycle was pulled over, and the driver, 20-year-old Zachary Robinson from Lincoln, was allegedly discovered to have a revoked driver's license.

Sheriff Unger revealed that Robinson had just left the Stanton County Courthouse after receiving a sentence for driving with a suspended license and speeding. Following his previous arrest by the Sheriff's Office earlier this month, he was found guilty of both offenses and subsequently fined.

Robinson now faces additional charges, including speeding, driving with a suspended license, careless driving, lack of a motorcycle license, and absence of valid registration. After being booked at the Sheriff's Office and posting bond, he was released on Tuesday, with a new court date scheduled.
