New "Infield Fly Rule" at UCF

Have you heard of the new “Infield Fly Rule?” That's what occurred during a women's softball game at the University of Central Florida, where a pair of parrots invaded the field.

The two parrots - Tiki and Lelu - invaded the field, and caused chaos among the players, prompting one of the umpires to dodge them. Tiki even landed on the home base umpire's shoulder.

The home plate umpire, Chad Stears, was unfazed when the parrot landed on his shoulder and even pretended to resume the game with the bird on him.

The parrot eventually flew to the other shoulder when Stears attempted to touch it.

The parrot's owner, Megan Brown, had let them fly freely behind the stadium and was surprised that Tiki, the parrot that landed on Stears, didn't nip him when he touched it.

After sitting on Stears' shoulder for about half a minute, Tiki was lured by one of the grounds crew and escorted out of the field.
