Serial Peeper Arrested Again in Lincoln

Lincoln Police have reported that a man in Lincoln has been arrested again after he was caught peering into a neighbor's apartment early on Wednesday morning.

Joseph Reyna

Joseph Reyna, a 64-year-old Lincoln resident, was taken into custody after being located by arriving officers, who had been alerted to the incident by witnesses. Reyna, who has been arrested around nine times for similar crimes since 2021, has a long history of arrests for similar charges dating back to 1985.

In January 2023, he was arrested for looking into the windows of a Lincoln couple with four minor children and charged with criminal trespassing and disturbing the peace. Reyna failed to appear for dates related to the charges and was arrested on March 1 for failure to appear, bonding out on March 6. He is set to appear in court again on those charges at the end of March.

Reyna had previously served six months in jail in August 2021, after being arrested for looking through the windows of a Lincoln couple's home. In that case, he was originally charged with four counts of trespassing and two counts of disturbing the peace, and was sentenced to three months in jail each for two counts of disturbing the peace.

While Reyna was charged with disturbing the peace in 1985, details surrounding the incident are not readily available, and prison records indicate that he has not spent any time in prison related to trespassing or peeping in windows, though he did serve a few years in the late 1980s and early 1990s for forgery and theft.
