Tim and twin sister Barbara were born in Platte County on July 11, 1944 to Harold and Myrtle (Nelson) Christensen. He graduated from Platte Center High School and enjoyed the Alumni Reunions a lot more than his time spent in the classrooms. Tim was in the Army Reserves and went to training at Fort Gordon in Georgia.

On June 20, 1964 Timothy married Elizabeth (Betty) Macken at St. Joseph’s in Platte Center. Tim worked for the Platte County and Tarnov road departments and he would get fired up for snowstorms and snow removal. The couple owned Corner Bar in Tarnov where Tim was the bartender, bouncer, and kept the place neat and clean. He retired from Lindsay Mfg. after over 20 years as a Security Officer.

Tim looked forward to his road trips to the next gamblin hole. He faithfully washed dishes and helped clean before, during and after, hosting the Christensen Thanksgiving till Christmas eating contest. Tim enjoyed fishing, annual family camping trips, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and Cadillac or Chevy car styles.
